Inauguration of the exhibition

The inauguration of the exhibition discovering science in Africa, nanotechnology in Egypt will take place on 22 April 2019 at 6.30 pm in the premises of the French Institute in Egypt, in the neighborhood of Mounira in Cairo. It will be followed by a debate about the importance for Egypt to develop its own research.

Result of five months work in the context of the Voyage-partage (travel-sharing) project (all information related to the project is on this site), this exhibition in french and arabic, (english translation available at the entrance) presents the evolution of research in Egypt and the work of researchers especially in nanophotonics, this scientific field that explores the interactions between light and matter on a nanometric scale. It was carried out in collaboration with researchers at the Centre for Photonics and intelligent materials in Zewail city.
